The Search

I was biking somewhere familiar. There was a bunch of construction going on around me. I eventually got to what looked like home, except it was outdoors. I tried to park my bicycle somewhere, but had no luck, nothing really worked. I got closer and closer to my bed, which had a frame, strangely, in a futile attempt to lock the bike up. She was there, laying on the far end of my bed; “of course you are… why wouldn’t you?” I thought. I continued fiddling with my bike lock as she said “You can lay down, it’s okay.” I eventually gave up, leaned the bike on a fence and laid down, as I was wore slap out. The TV was on. This was a giant television, the size of a whole room wall. It was full of familiar faces; she was talking with the gang, none of which really seemed to notice me. That’s okay though, I entered this half asleep state where I just minimally perceived things, so I certainly didn’t care. At some point she picked up and said “I’m out,” proceeding to disappear into the street as I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes I was in a helicopter. I was flying over the sea, overlooking some cliffs, with some other dude in the passenger seat. We identified a small spot where the sand emerged from the waters at the foot of a cliff. We landed the helicopter in the water, which put itself in a bubble kind of pod immediately. Turns out all we wanted was a stock type photo, so we got the camera out and started to take pictures. A few minutes later, I noticed the helicopter had drifted away. On top of that, there was this other person in some sort of motor boat headed towards the helicopter pod. We started swimming towards the helicopter as this other person raced to beat us there. We swam past the helicopter and intercepted him. I had this person in a neck lock. Apparently, we were also looking for this person by the name of Dolores. “Where is she!” I yelled repeatedly. I got no answer. Very likely as the result of my actions, this individual ended up drowning. I had let him go, but a voice coming from him made me grab him the same way again. He was motionless and offered no resistance whatsoever. The voice had then quieted down. I let go of his body again, and there it was. This person was still motionless, but somehow talking. He seemed rather confused, disoriented, as though he didn’t really know where he was or how he got there. I perceived a slow shift from confusion to unease, to worry. The last thing the ghost said was “Oh no… she’s… gone? I killed her…” before it all ended.
